    Dr Gabriele Rossi
    DVM, PhD, Diplomate ECVCP

    Senior Lecturer Veterinary Clinical Pathology

    About me

I am a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Pathology and a diplomate in European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology. I come from Milan (Italy) where I graduated in Veterinary Medicine and I achieved my PhD.

I’m a ECVCP member of the exam committee as regards hematology session.

I have undertaken research and published reports on different mammals’ species including exotic (hedgehogs) and domestic animals (horses, dogs, cats, and cattles).

I have a special interest in analytical and diagnostic validation of bio-marker in veterinary medicine, specially renal and inflammatory markers.

    Teaching area

I teach clinical pathology to undergraduate and post-graduated veterinary students

    Research areas

Analytical and diagnostic validation of veterinary biomarkers: acute phase protein and renal and urinary markers

    Determination of reference intervals

Analytical validation of new instruments in veterinary medicine

Pathogenesis of FIP: interaction between the immune response of the host and the virus

    Infectious diseases: leishmaniosis

    Events and speaking engagements

I have given over than 20 presentations at international conferences and was invited speaker at the European Society of Veterinary Clinical Pathologist annual congress in 2014.
